KPMG, LLP....The Charlotte Involve Committee will be implementing Jeans Days over the next few Fridays to support the Michael V. DiMaggio Foundation.

The Michael V. DiMaggio Foundation supports and inspires Student Athletes in the Charlotte Community. It has been involved in several events in the Community raising funds for Student Athletes. Every June they host an annual tribute baseball tournament honoring the memory of Michael DiMaggio, called the “Beast of the East.” Over 100 baseball teams from the Charlotte area compete in this event. Also, they will be hosting a Bowling event coming up in the fall season. These fund-raising events will help disadvantaged youths have the ability to participate in sports within the Charlotte Community. The reason the foundation has been created is due to one of Michael’s aspirations. In his school journal he wrote, “If I won a million dollars I would like to donate it to baseball charities to help underprivileged children that don’t have the resources needed to aspire to their favorite sport, which also happens to be mine. I think every kid deserves a chance to succeed at baseball because it builds character in the future.”
